What it checks
| Length, file size, shape, frame rate | Each platform’s docs |
|---|---|
| Caption length and hashtags | The same docs |
| What the buttons cover, on your real video, per app. Hard detail under them is flagged, without guessing what it says | Safe zones |
| A nearly black or blank first frame, nothing moving in the first 3 seconds, a small or low-bitrate file | What’s in the file. These are “worth a look”, never a refusal |
| No sound track, a silent opening, or sound hitting the ceiling | What’s in the file |
| First 3 seconds shown large, plus a one-second flash of your first frame: can you read the opening? | You decide. We don’t guess |
| Five yes or no questions, such as “cover the logo: could a stranger still tell whose business this is?” | You answer. Nothing is scored |
| Numbers, health or money promises, and words like “#1” | Flagged as “may need proof”. This isn’t a legal verdict |
| AI labels and added branding | Asked as questions, with the rule linked |
What it can’t tell you
That’s everything we can check. We can’t tell you if it will sell, and nobody honestly can, so there’s no score out of 100. No tool can see what your viewers will do.
If a platform has already rejected your ad under its ad policy, this won’t tell you why. It checks the file and your words, not each platform’s ad review. TikTok has been testing a check of its own in TikTok Studio, with a small group of creators as of July 2025. If you have it, use that too.
Plenty of free safe-zone checkers exist, and several are good. The few we looked at show where the buttons sit. This one also checks length, file size, captions, hashtags, your first frame, your sound and risky claims, for six platforms at once, and it shows the date we last read each platform’s docs. TikTok’s button positions come from people who measured its template, and we say so.
The list copies as text or saves as a picture, in your browser. We don’t keep a copy, only a daily count of how often the tool is opened, finished and used to reach Lou, with nothing about you or your file.
Made by Luven AI, which is building Lou. Lou has to follow these same rules, which is why the checks exist. It isn’t open yet.
